The Matchday 15 clash in Ligue 1 between PSG and Rennes will take place on December 6 at the Parc des Princes in Paris. PSG vs. Rennes: prediction and betting odds, statistics.
PSG
The capital club visited Monaco in the last round and suffered their second defeat in the current Ligue 1 season (0-1). Previously, Paris lost to Marseille with the same scoreline. These are the only matches in which the team failed to score among their last 34 league games. As a result, PSG's eight-match unbeaten run in Ligue 1 (5 wins and 3 draws) came to an end. Luis Enrique's side lost their top spot, now trailing Lens by one point.
- No more than three goals have been scored in 9 of PSG's last 11 league games.
- At home, PSG has won 6 of their last 7 league matches (1 draw).
- The club has kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 home games in the league.
Predicted lineup for PSG (4-3-3)
Luca Chevalier – Marquinhos, Lucas Hernandez, William Pacho, Warren Zaïre-Emery – João Neves, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz – Lee Kang-In, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Senny Meyulu.
Due to injuries, forward Desire Doue and defenders Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi are out. Goalkeeper Luca Chevalier is likely to miss out due to a minor injury, so Matvey Safonov may take his place.
Rennes
Habib Beye's side remains unbeaten in the league for five matches. In the last four encounters, they have won. Interestingly, in this series, they won 4-1 at home and secured a 1-0 victory away. Rennes climbed to fifth in the standings, just two points away from the Champions League zone. It's worth noting that the team has only two defeats, just like PSG. No team in the league has fewer losses.
- In the last 12 league matches, the club has suffered only 1 defeat (5 wins and 6 draws).
- Both teams scored in 6 of Rennes' last 8 Ligue 1 games.
- At least three goals were scored in 6 of the team's last 8 league matches.
Predicted lineup for Rennes (3-4-3)
Brice Samba – Jeremy Jacquet, Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, Lilian Brassier – Jaouen Cissé, Przemysław Frankowski, Mahdi Camara, Valentin Rongier – Moussa Al-Tamari, Breel Embolo, Esteban Lepaul.
Midfielder Seko Fofana and forward Nordau Mukiele are doubtful due to injuries.

PSG vs. Rennes: Match Prediction
Luis Enrique's side faces a tough challenge, and I disagree with bookmakers offering low odds of 1.3 for the hosts' win. In their last match, PSG lost to Monaco (0-1), who had previously faced Rennes and lost 1-4. The visitors are in excellent form and are gradually closing in on the leading group. Their gap from the top four is mainly due to frequent draws.
I believe a good betting option is to back Habib Beye's side with a handicap. Rennes has not lost by more than one goal in their last 12 Ligue 1 matches. Meanwhile, PSG has only won by two or more goals in 2 of their last 8 league games. Additionally, PSG has not secured convincing victories in 3 of the last 4 head-to-head meetings at this stadium in Ligue 1.
My prediction – Rennes with a handicap (+1.5)
