The Coupe de France quarter-final between Strasbourg vs Reims will take place on 3 March at the Stade de la Meinau. Strasbourg vs Reims: prediction, betting odds and statistics.
Strasbourg
The home team have played three matches in this season’s tournament and won all of them in 90 minutes. In the first two rounds, they faced lower-division opposition and beat both sides: at home against Dunkerque (2:1) and away at Avranches (6:0). The toughest test came in the previous round, but Strasbourg came through at their own ground against Monaco, winning 3:1. The club last won the Coupe de France trophy in 2001. Since then, Strasbourg have only managed to reach the quarter-finals for the third time. Last season, the team were knocked out in the round of 16, losing to Angers (1:3).
- In the last 11 matches in this tournament, the club have suffered just one defeat in 90 minutes (7 wins and 3 draws).
- At least three goals have been scored in Strasbourg’s last six Coupe de France matches.
- Both teams have scored within 90 minutes in four of the team’s previous five matches in this tournament.

Reims
The visitors have played as many as five matches in this edition, winning four of them in 90 minutes, and they also beat Le Puy in the away tie via a penalty shootout (0:0, pens 3:0). It is also worth noting that across those five games, the club have conceded just one goal. The toughest opponent was Le Mans in the previous round, but even then Reims came through fairly comfortably with a 3:0 win. In the 21st century, the club have reached the Coupe de France quarter-finals for the fourth time, and last season they played in the final, but lost 0:3 to Paris Saint-Germain.
- In the last 13 matches of this tournament, the team have suffered only one defeat in 90 minutes (7 wins and 5 draws).
- At least one of the sides has failed to score in five of Reims’s previous six Coupe de France matches.

Strasbourg vs Reims: Match Prediction
In all likelihood, Strasbourg will not be able to push for a place in the Champions League spots. It will also be difficult to fight for a top-six finish, although their chances are fairly decent. So the club are clearly set on reaching the Coupe de France final in order to qualify for European competition through it and, of course, to win the trophy. However, it is unlikely to be straightforward against Reims, who have become a real cup battler in recent years. After all, reaching last year’s final is clear evidence of the ambitions of this modest team.
This season, Reims are playing in Ligue 2 and have an excellent chance of breaking into France’s top division. For now, they are third, having lost only five times after 25 rounds. What is more, the club are unbeaten in the league across six matches and have not conceded a single goal in that run. It is precisely thanks to that strong defence that Reims will be looking to deal with Strasbourg. We recommend taking a positive handicap on the away side, who have not lost by a one-goal margin in their last 16 Ligue 2 matches, as well as in 12 of their previous 13 Coupe de France games. We should also add that this bet has not lost in eight of the last 10 head-to-head meetings, which took place in Ligue 1.
Prediction: Reims (+1)
