Verona vs Bologna: Match Prediction
Despite their poor form and a generally disappointing season, Verona are capable of producing a proactive display at home and, at the very least, being effective in attack. All the more so given that the hosts have been scoring regularly: across their last 11 home Serie A matches, the home side have failed to find the net in only four of them. Moreover, during that run the club have scored three against Atalanta and have also breached the defence of Inter, Juventus and Como.
Bologna prefer to play open football even away from home and, thanks to that approach, have had no problems with goals. In their previous eight away league matches, the visiting team have not left the pitch without scoring once, and on five occasions in that period they have scored at least twice. At the same time, the club cannot boast a reliable defence: Bologna have conceded in 10 of their last 12 away Serie A games.
We are expecting both teams to score in this match.
Prediction: Both teams to score – Yes
* For each team, the starting XI is the lineup from their previous match in this competition.
