A typical dime line in MLB betting will look like this:

• Kansas City Royals +110

This means that in order for the player to make $110 by betting on the Royals to win, they will have to bet $100. With the White Sox however, the player will have to bet $110 to win $100. The remaining ten percent will be kept by the sportsbook.
